Description
At the foot of the highest peak of the Sinai Peninsula is the Monastery of St. Catherine,
Greek Orthodox temple. This is the place where the Burning Bush and
The Well of Moses. The monastery, operating continuously since the sixth century, is the oldest
in the world, a monastery that has never been destroyed, and its library collections
are compared to those from the Vatican Library. It also has valuable collections
icons, including the only icons in the world from the VI-X centuries.
A trip through the Sinai Peninsula is a unique opportunity to admire a variety of
mountain formations and minerals, from white limestone sands to the oldest
